About the artist
Dorothy (stylized as DOROTHY) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2014. That same year, they released a self-titled EP that caused Rolling Stone to deem them "a you need to know," and named them #14 on their 50 Best New Artists of 2014 list. (from Wikipedia)
Lead singer and lyricist Dorothy Martin became a born-again Christian during rehab in 2020. While aspects of her faith sometimes manifest within her lyrics, she firmly believes that such content is presented "in a way that it speaks to as many people as possible" and that "We’re not a Christian band". (from Heavy Consequence interview, circa 2024)
